About and Contact

Scarlett a lifelong artist and teacher living in her beloved hometown of Kingston, NY. She has spent her entire life working with kids and creating art with them, through babysitting, summer camp and substitute teaching. She truly enjoys working with students of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. She believes that connecting with students is the basis for all art making in the classroom.
In her own practices, Scarlett is drawn the most to painting and illustration, printmaking, and portraiture, and is inspired by her home, local artists and art history. She aspires to create art that reflects the world and people around her.
When not creating, Scarlett spends her spare time birding with her partner, spending time with her nephew, playing board games with friends, and being with her family and community. She loves her four cats, ice matcha and black tea, listening to music with the windows down, and the color pink. She finds beauty and fulfillment in the small and mundane parts of life.
Scarlett graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a BFA in Adolescent Education, with a concentration in Social Studies, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Art Education.
